No. I believe cia files are the only ones that can be installed.

.3ds files can only be used on a gateway red card. You can, however, convert .3ds files to .cia without too much trouble.

I don't know how. Also, the .3DS I'm trying to convert is the Demo of Mario Kart 7. If you could convert it for me I can PM you a MEGA Link to it. Its only around 130MB

Do a search for simple cia converter. I'm not at home so I can't do it for you sorry. How come you want the demo specifically? There's lots of CIAs of Mario kart around on "that" ISO site.

I use that iso site alot and have already gotten a full "Mario Kart 7.cia" but, I want to play the demo because I have never played it. I have always wanted to play it. I just think it would be a cool thing to have
