Hello everyone, I would like to know if it is possible to build a custom hardware with the same architecture as the 3ds and install the 3ds firmware on top of it. If yes what would it require? Thank you in advance.

    Short Answer: No
Long Answer: You'd have to 100% Reverse Engineer the 3DS and at that point you'd be building a 3DS anyway so whats the point

wut? 3DS firmware is nothing if the system can't interpretate it. As @Shubshub says, you need to reverse engineer the 3DS.

So if I understand correctly, the firmware is made specifically for the 3ds's hardware and would not work on any other hardware having a more powerful chip ?
