Hi, I'm discovering the joys of owning a Wii in the year of 2026. Better late than never. Been playing the NTSC Virtual Console version of Star Fox 64 a bunch, and there's this annoying audio distortion that's hard to ignore throughout the game, like the audio is crackling. It's most noticable in the end credits. This video I found on youtube shows it off as well, so I know the issue isn't just on my end: (45:56 in case the timestamp doesn't work) I was surprised how nobody online seems to have discussed this over the years. Has anyone else noticed this or similar issues on other n64 VC releases? Is the cause known? Out of curiosity, I did try the PAL Lylat Wars release, and the audio was perfectly fine in that one.

Here is a tutorial that creffca made in this thread

It's hard to find there so I figured i would post it for all to see.
Tutorials really help something progress.

ROM to inject (I suggest donkey kong country 2 for SNES, or Sin and Punishment for N64)

Getting started:
-Unzip all the tools to a single folder
-Copy the host wad you want to inject to the same folder
-Copy your ROM file to to the same file

Usage:
-injectuwad
-Press 1 for SNES mode or 2 for N64 mode.
-Wadtool will open
-Click the decrypt button
-Browse the the input wad file (make sure its the same wad as )
-Wait for the program to finish its magic
-Close wadtool
-When it asks "Inject to this entry?" press y (or n if you want to search for a different entry point)
-You should see a bunch of text ending with "All done!"
-You will now have a title.wad ready to be installed to your wii.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have any sub folders in the install directory that begin with 0001000, delete them!!!!!!!
