I'm not sure how many of you out there know, but i stumbled upon several websites saying Initial D (yes, the anime about street drifting and the driving machines in game centres) is coming to the DS.

Has anyone found or heard of any more news on the development other than the fact that it's been established that it's coming to the DS?

A link with some pictures and some info...

I love Initial D!
This could be awesome , I mean I played the PSP version for more than 30 Hours already and it's still fun to attack my best times with another car.

Wow. I'm keeping my eyes on this one for sure. I want another racer besides Mario Kart on the DS.

Holy shit, i HOPE it comes out, and i PRAY its good. That would make my... erm... year? Maybe not that much, but at LEAST it'd make my week!

Was gonna say, it looks exactly like the arcade (lower quality graphics of course). I wonder if my cards work for it......

Wicked. We only got the first two Arcade game in New Zealand and I only really played the first. Still got my cards too

I only just recently found the GBA Initial D yet its not a straight up racer, you seem to plan your techniques for the corners so the wash of Japanese text was too much for me but I'm going to see if I can get my Japanese friend to translate the menus for me.
