SEGA released some details about Platinum Games new RPG for the DS: "Infinite Space"

QUOTE said:
Infinite Space follows the story of Yuri, a young crewman that journeys the galactic frontier and slowly moves up the ranks to become captain of his own spaceship fleet. Using over 150 blueprints, players will build and customize a huge array of space ships and have over 200 crewmen to recruit. Players will battle their way through space to become the strongest fleet in the galaxy while exploring new planets and solar systems.

Infinite Space delivers excellent replay value with an epic storyline containing multiple branching story arcs that weave together seamlessly to create one epic tale set amongst the stars. The gameplay depth and replayability of Infinite Space make it stand out from any DS title currently in the market. The game also features multiplayer combat through local wireless connection for up to two players.

"Infinite Space will be one of the most detailed and ambitious RPG title developed for the DS to-date," said Sean Ratcliffe, Vice President of Marketing, SEGA of America, Inc. "The attention to detail in creating the massive universe and the immense sci-fi content packed into this game ensures countless hours of brilliant gameplay to satisfy all RPG fans."

Infinite Space will be available for the Nintendo DS portable handheld system in 2009.

But this game sounds like it could be good, there haven't been many good space games lately

This is very anticipated by a lot of people, the discussion thread from when this was first announced had quite a lot of posts.

I've got a feeling this will be the best RPG for DS and its sounding a lot different to most that appear.
