Gaming infinite loop

i know that this problem has been around for quite some time now and i've been scourging the net for answers but all i see are forum threads that date back some 3-4 years ago. is there *really* a fix for this ati2dvag.dll infinite loop? it's getting frustrating. really. any insights?

Yeah that is a old probleum the only advice i can give you is get the latest drivers from ATI http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
