Gaming In smash ultimate spirit mode

With the support spirits is it better to use just basic physical atk up or if the character has fire/sword/fist to use those types over physical

I'm afraid none of what you're saying matters. Spirits in this game are simply based off of 3 things:
Attack
Defense
Whichever item/ability a spirit gives you. (Such as start with a Beam Sword)

Unless we're talking about the Über physical spirits like Akuma, you're usually better off using the strongest 3 slot spirit.

The pro thing for the high physical spirits is they make all moves stronger. So if you mix it up a lot, go for that. If you use little Mac who's all about fists, use those spirits

Listen to this person. Just grab the highest spirit and IF YOU NEED IT, the 3 slots so you can have ore spirit supports.
