PS1/2 In reguards to PSX

Thanks alot for those pics. Definitly helped with the yellow/orange wire. I also used my head and found out the copper like stuff was desoldering braid and tried to clean up as much of my mistakes as I could. I burned the SHIT out of myself but I should be fine. Putting the PSX back together now. Will update as I try it and attempt to take pics (If I can get them on good enough quality to pick up the detail) of my soldering skill which is terrible haha. Thanks alot for the help reguardless man!

Welp. Hooked it all back up. Tried a game. Motor was trying hard so I got excited. Yet it did the same thing it always does. Went from flashing white and black to eventually showing the sony screen and making the sound. Then directly going to sonys version of the dashboard aka the memory manager and cd player. I then opened the PSX to try a cd and the game was spinning INSANELY fast. And also never played the cd. But I did my best to take pics of how I have each wire. But theyre pretty bad.

You need to switch the wires.
GREEN goes to POINT 5, you have connected to POINT 4
BLUE goes to POINT 4, you have connected to POINT 7
PURPLE/VIOLET goes to POINT 7, you have connected to POINT 5

Are you using a Cell Phone Cam
If you are using a regular digital cam, use the option that has a flower for close ups.

Make sure the solder and the bare wires only connect/touch the correct points.
If you bridge/short the connection like in the picture with the red squares, the install will not work

If you can post cleaner pictures I will be able to help you with anything that might be wrong with the install

Well now I fixed the wire order as suggested which seems to have eliminated the black and white screen flashing. Normal games still don't boot nor do cds. It still just goes to the memory manager cd player select screen yet the motor is spinning so insanely fast it won't read any data.

Well out Nikon Cool Pix S3000 just won't get that close. If I get it into macro mode it just makes shutter sounds and things go from blurry to more blurry.

I think it might be point 3 white wire you have problems.
Make sure there is no solder touching the other resistors or that solder is bridging the legs of the square chip.

ill check it out thanks for all this help man.

heh it seems like this just keeps getting worse and worse. I went and opened it up and the yellow wire had popped off. So I fixed it and I tried to clean up and use as little solder as possible on the white connection with as much as accuracy as possible and then when I was cleaning up the old solder the entire bracket popped off. So basically I have to try to get that back in perfect position and then still correctly solder this wire to it. Or just buy a whole new PS1. I wish I knew someone good at soldering things that are so small because I obviously can't do it. Maybe 5/33 is too long of an iron or something.

Either way I plugged it all in. Tried it out with the bracket a bit crooked. I got no disc spinning the first couple of tries then the second or third try the disc spun but read nothing. Like the laser just sits in the far right of the slot. After that I tried a cd and it purely wouldn't spin anymore. My friend may have an old PSOne and if not I can try to get another at Gameswap or second time around or buy backs. I just don't have the eye site or steady hands to do this.

I do installs. I have feedback in other forums and would be more then happy to mod the PSone or PSX.
PM me if you are interested.
I really want to see some close ups so I can tell you whats wrong.
