i liked the one before it maybe because i got use to it

I saw it earlier, and as always, this was the conclusion I reached: IGN's new layout is no better or worse than the previous design. It's simply different than before. In a month I will have forgotten what the previous layout looked like, just as I did with the one before last, and the one before that. However, with that said, it is more functional. The old scrolling tab display for new news never quite worked properly for me.

yeah, visited the site yesterday, i like the new look, especially the new navigation bar

I liked the old style better. This new style......you go to "reviews" and it doesn't show the rating next to the game anymore. Now you have to click into the game to get the score. It doesn't show a pic next to the game either, which isn't really important, but was kinda dumb to remove as it made the various reviews stand out more. I always used the sidebars to select between reviews, previews and news, etc. but now the sidebars are just gone. Also, when you hit the back button, it resets and you have to pick reviews/previews/news (whatever) again. The whole site looks less polished than it used to be because of those changes.

Other than those little screw-ups (and I refuse to call it anything but screw-ups when a site drops desirable features), I don't really care what it "looks" like though. I can still get the info I want, so I don't care.

yes it's a bit more neat but it's also more confusing.... on the old site things where easier to spot IMO
