Yeah, you can still use browserhax to install menuhax on 10.5. Pretty sure menuhax is permanent too
Browserhax and Menuhax are the most frequently patched, actually. Yellows8 and smea just keep finding workarounds.
I know a lot of people are going to update to buy Bayo and Corrin so, if I update can I still get Browserhax as an entry point to install menuhax? I really don't want to lose HANS (I like to take screenshots).

Sorry if it is something a lot of people ask, but this will be good for people with the same question for tomorrow.
If you don't care about piracy and all that shit and just want to use homebrew, all entrypoints besides Ironhax work on 10.5 (assuming you've got everything set up correctly). Personally I recommend getting Oot3dhax or Ninjhax, because those are completely unpatchable forever. If you want to do custom cias and all that shit, downgrade to 9.2 and build an emuNAND for 10.5.

Even if you're not wanting to pirate games, there's plenty of reasons to downgrade your sysnand and add an emunand. The elevated privileges are required for a few different things, and can make some homebrew better, such as emulation. It's worth giving it a try, if it doesn't work or you end up not wanting it then you can always just update. But there's no going back

id downgrade because even if you do update nintedo will patch menuhax again in 10.60 and you won't be able to play online with out updating so id downgrade and install emunand

There's no chance of Cubic Ninja receiving a patch, and then Cubic Ninja v1.0 being blacklisted (like Ironfall 1.0)? Nice!

I'm not wanting to pirate any games, either, I just wanted to keep avenues open for save editors and various other things (some of these games want you to grind for 10-20 hours, and I just don't have that time anymore). I've bought something like 30 3DS games, so there's no need to install .cias. Thanks a bunch, I've been mulling this decision over in my head all day and you helped me make my decision. It sucks to lose Ironhax or potentially menuhax in the future, but my copy of Cubic Ninja or OoT aren't going anywhere.

but what when nintedo releases 10.60 and blocks online play on older firmware and browser hax and menuhax is patched on 10.60 your screwed then so id downgrade patches can't do shit if your using emunand since you can install home brew launcher cia

Seems you’re in the same boat as me. I personally don't care for CIAs. The only thing I really care for is being able to launch the Homebrew Launcher to hack my games. However, Nintendo contiually attempts to patch access to the Homebrew Launcher. Thus, I downgraded to 9.2, installed Emunand and am using a personal straight-up Emunand boot.3dsx to boot into Emunand when I turn on the 3DS. That way, i can ensure I'll be able to access the Homebrew Launcher and hack my games while being able to update to the latest firmware version on my Emunand and play online.

Oothax is permanant. eShop patches are optional, and they can't force you to update it like ironfall, because its a 40 dollar game, and then people without regular internet access on the latest firmware couldn't play their game.
