Hacking If I have cIOS installed...

I don't really know what IOS' are but I've already installed cIOS. Since I also want to run GC off my SD card, it says somewhere that I would need MIOS. Is it okay to install both or do I have to uninstall them everytime I want to switch to the other?

mios controls GC mode, completely seperate from IOS, it is safe, I use it, both at the same time is fine.

didn't that custom mios affect play of gamecube discs?

the 2nd release loads original games and backups (with a chip of course) fine
I had some trouble with my chip's config disc loading (Since it technically a GC homebrew disc),
but it turns out starfall's GC region free was "Clashing" in some way with the new MIOS, so I just uninstalled it (the RF).
however,
as a note:

it seems pretty much pointless to use the patched MIOS, unless you want to load backups from a gecko loader in the GC mem-slot via GCOS or sdload or whatever it is,
cuz all GC homebrew has been pretty much outdone at this point by wii stuff.

after installation, I couldn't find one worthwhile thing to download
