The DSi had a game like that. Some idiots used it as 3DS prediction back then.
LOL yeah I remember the youtube flood with that video.

Wabsta, something is better than nothing

Not when it's made by Apple, I don't think it applies in that case for various reasons.

Can this even technically be called 3D? When that one guy made a similar wii application, he never called it 3d. It's just head tracking.

Has no-one noticed that this is exactly the same as what that guy did with the Wii? He created the head-tracking software for it and he create the exact same program shown now, for the iphone and Ipad. I'm not too sure it its the same creator but if its not, blatant rip-off!

I'll be more impressed if the object were actually moving e.g 'In'/'Out' of the screen & behind each other etc - & if a game was made using this

(Imagine the 'Head tracking targets' & 'Zelda Crossbow training' in one)

the 3DS could do that!
in Real 3D

Yeah, you move your head and... lose the 3D effect.
Like you really need to move you head that much or even for most not that easy to lose, besides the 3DS has a better effect.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say. But trust me both effects combined actually work. Where one on its only gives a feeling of depth which isn't useful.

EDIT: Try out a 3D CAVE sometime and compare it to your 3D TV.

It would be cool if Nintendo could apply an update for the 3DS so that it could use head tracking.
That way there would be more easier 3D + less eyestrain.
Sorry to be noob, but how is that possible? The 3DS front camera is pretty bad and doesn't work well under low lighting.

its still nice to see 3d on the iphone at last. I like the fact that this video itself shows how great the 3d works.
Is the 3ds 3d equal to cross-eyed 3d?

This isn't 3d. It's head tracking.

The 3DS' 3D is similar to cross-eyed 3d in that each eye sees a different image. Just without the hassle and headache.

Maybe the Wii 2 will have something like this? the would be cool.

Anyway, I can foresee a load of Apple fanboys saying "look, i've got 3D! f** you nintendo". I suppose i'll just reply saying that nintendo did that years ago.
