ROM Hack I think I lost my save file.

Okay guys I believed I lost my save file for inazuma eleven go 2. I was playing a match and for some reason my game crashed to a black screen. I was alright with that and I thought I had saved before the match but when I turned on the game my save file was all the way before that point and started me at a point that I swear that I've overwritten with my previous saves. Is it possible for me to restore my later save file or is it lost forever?

Was this on sky3ds or gateway?

First off, what does this have got anything to do with Hacking, Translations, and Utilities?
Second, you should have mentioned you ran it on Gateway.

Now for your answer:
For a game to truely be saved on Gateway you must save inside the game, go to home, and close the game. If the game crashes and you have failed to close the game manually, the save file is reverted back to the point you have last closed.
