Big problem. The moment I put in my SD card and boot my 3ds, the error from earlier occurs. Without the SD card, when I boot it, the light turns blue for a second, then it turns off.
You seem to have old version of boot9strap installed on your 3DS.

Testing done on 11.9.0-42U firmware.

boot9strap v1.0
Compatible: Luma3DS v7.1
  • Interesting. It does NOT experience "Failed to Apply 1 FIRM patch(es)".
Not Compatible: Luma3DS v8.0, v8.1.1, v9.0, v9.1
  • All blink with blue light once.

***

boot9strap v1.1
Compatible: Luma3DS v9.1

Semi-Compatible: Luma3DS v8.1, v8.1.1, v9.0
  • Luma3DS chainloader still works.
An error has occurred:
Failed to apply 1 FIRM patch(es).
Press any button to shutdown

Not Compatible: Luma3DS v7.1
An error has occurred:
Unsupported launcher (argc = 0).
Press any button to shutdown

  • Testing not done for boot9strap v1.2 and v1.3. These are assumed to have the same results as boot9trap v1.1.
  • Luma3DS v8.0 was not available at AuroraWright's Luma3DS release page.
  • The latest SafeB9SInstaller v0.0.7 renamed as boot.firm will launch with boot9strap v1.0 installed.

Replace the boot.firm (luma3ds one) with the safeb9sinstaller.firm (rename it to boot.firm), have the 1.3 boot9strap files inside the boot9strap folder and do the update.
