Gaming I saw a meteor in BOTW

It was night, and i saw one heading to the mountain, far in the sky
Does anyone saw that too?
Is it just for special effect or it unlocks an event or something if i go where it landed?

If you go to the place where it landed you can get a Star Fragment which is useful to powerup armors and it sells for a good price (if I remember correctly).

They disappear in the morning. The time I reached it it was already gone.
