Hacking I need help playing Splatoon Online

Hello, I have a Wii U on 5.4 and I used GXloader to connect to an offline server on my
PC and play game backups, but I also have the game Splatoon I bought digitally. Is there
a way to download the Splatoon updates and play online without updating from 5.4?
I also blocked the Nintendo URLs so I don't know if the console can connect to update
Splatoon.

I'm also afraid that the Wii U auto updates because sometimes it tries to do it without
my input even tough I disabled auto updates.

To update eshop titles on lower firmware than 5.5.1 follow these steps.

1. Use WUP Installer to spoof to 5.5.1.
2. Use NNU patcher to gain temp access to eshop
3. Update your digital title through the eshop (keep tubehax enabled the whole time)

I suggest you to update to 5.5.1. The exploit works in the latest firmware, so there is no need to be in 5.4 and spoof. You can block updates with tubehax while you are on 5.5.1 and disable it temporarily to download title updates for games you bought.

or download the update files manually with "new Nusgrabber"
put all the files inside a folder named "install" on the root of your sd card
run kernel exploit once, then run wupinstaller, press home button
it will install the update after the screen freezes
it might take a while though

Yes you should setup tubehax dns first. Nothing to install, just some numbers to type into your wii u Internet connection settings.

I don't know what servers you blocked on your router. If you blocked the eshop servers then NNU patcher and updating to 5.5.1 won't help you.

There is no way to downgrade but as @andeers said, 5.5.1 is a great safe firmware to be on right now.

This works too but I don't know how hard it is to find etitle updates with nusgrabber. I've used nusgrabber and wup installer for disc updates but I just go online with NNU patcher to update etitles. Way easier than wup installer
