Hacking I need help changing DSi shell

Is that true that If you change your DSi shell, the border(outline) of the screens are un-replaceable and it will show your old DSi color.

Here is a feedback from a dealextreme customer "The screws to hold my battery in place did not fit. Screens will have the outline color of your old DSi shell."

i just got a new case for my ds lite and i got the black screen surrounds but i didnt replace them i just left them white. so u should get some with the replacement case, and i broke my ds lite lol so be careful
