Which CIOS is the fastest... I need an honest answer. Please do not tell which you like the best, but the fastest. On CIOS 14 my games will temporarily freeze in mid game and the music will cut in and out. PLZ Answer!!

249 rev. 10 was the fastest for me, but you have to use old loaders for the newer games, so it is very tricky to get Alt.dol and 002fix up and running.
Maybe you should first try a different loader and install cios 222, you can select which cios will be used for that game, you don´t have to deinstall rev. 14.

Report you problem, be precise describing your FW-IOS-CIOS-HDD setup and the games affected.
Maybe it can be fixed in the next release.

If you are playing backups from discs (DVD-R, DVD+R) i´m afraid you have to live with this glitch, the disc drive speed is limited when reading from DVD media.

Search for "HDD Spindown". It's a common problem and only partly refers to your installed cIOS.

Didn't they fix the spindown error in an old rev? I guess you should try to download software to control your external HD spindown.
