this is not a gateway problem. and many people still use gateway. its just the retards who hate on it when its literally the same as luma except it on emunand which i personally prefer and it has more features.
It could be a problem with gateway if op is sysnand only. Gateway has no firm protection so if you update in sysnand you lose hacks on old3ds and brick on new 3ds.

This is what I was thinking but OP said he updated whilst in Luma and not Gateway mode, making this irrelevant.

I'm 100% sure i didnt update in gateway mode

This surely is a strange case, then. Wasn't there a N3DS that recently bricked despite using Luma after updating? Was that ever solved why, and maybe this is the same? Assuming OP has O3DS since it wouldn't brick it, it would just remove A9LH.

It seems that Luma 6.6 is not as stable as 6.3.1...if it is a luma based issue that is. More scrutiny is needed I guess...scary..

I am also wondering about the extent of the damage done, since OP has stated that his o3ds crashes when he tries to go to system settings.

OP, do you have any sys/emuNAND backup? I don't know if you have the ability to load payloads (since you can't access Luma configs), but if you do, try backing up your current NANDs and flash the dumps you made before, if you have any.

I could suggest to try "updating" A9LH as it's listed here, but since this is an weird issue, I'm afraid this will do worse than better. Better see if someone experienced here recommend doing this though.

If OP lost A9LH, then he will be on latest firmware and be unable to launch payloads, meaning he can't restore nand backup without hardmod/haxxed dsiware

So, he litterally lost A9LH. That's really weird...

Also not being able to access System Settings is even more weird.

I suspect Gateway. I'm not those haters, but I never liked Gateway a lot. And seeing that I don't remember someone having this kind of issue using Luma...

The only conclusion that seems logical is OP updated in GW while thinking he was in Luma, yet he has stated he was absolutely sure he was in Luma. It's incredibly weird. xD

Judging from what you've said, I'm guessing you updated to an OFW, but you said you were playing Mario Kart 7 on Gateway today, which is after you updated so you couldn't have updated to an OFW. The system settings doesn't work either, huh. I'm sorry, but this is just a bit complicated.

Maybe something miraculously happened to your payload?

Is their a new update or something? Besides 11.2? This is weird and scary. I think I will go back to 10.7 just for safety.
