Hacking I just ordered a New 3DSXL - Correct me if I'm wrong:

I have an old 3ds XL and I want to use the same sd card with the sames games on the New XL, including the uncensored/undubbed ones and VC injects. What I must do is:

1. Install NTRBootHax/Luma3DS/Boot9Strap on the new 3ds via https://3ds.guide/get-started
2. Do a system transfer from the Old XL to the New XL
3. Wait a lot.

Thats correct?

Thats dont make sense, because its a system transfer, if works well, everything will be the same as in the old XL

Oh, by the way, all my unsigned games, including Game Cart Dumps (Not eShop installs), Pirated Games, Homebrew, and VC injects were gone after transfer, so make sure to do a ticket backup. 3Down had a part of their tutorial on that.

I had a similar thread open for transferring from modded console to unmodded console, and the verdict was only if I don't put CFW on the new console prior to system transfer will I lose all the stuff that I have no legit tickets for. If I set it up with CFW and then do the System Transfer, it will come out as exactly the same as on the old console before. Is that not true?

Hmm... Maybe. I though I had CFW'd my n3DS before transfer, but I don't know.
EDIT: Still, to be same I'd do a ticket backup.

Pretty sure that it only transfers Nintendo stuff. No homebrew but you can easily redownload that.

Then again I wouldn't know how they differentiate between 3ds title and homebrew within installed titles. How should they do that, except by determining whether a legit ticket is installed - and they are legit on CFW consoles.
Welp, guess I'll just find out the hard way - back up saves and go for it. I've not much stuff on it anyway, even setting up fresh and reinstalling everything wouldn't be the biggest deal.

Please note, though, this is not a tutorial for transfer, it's a tut for downgrading. Only pay attention to the ticket part.

It honestly would probably be faster to just copy your saves from the old 3DS to the new one and to reinstall all the games as .cias. Your method should work, but wirelessly transferring the games is a longer process than installing each title again.

Just pay attention to the part about ticket backup and restore. It doesn't matter what version you are on.
