Well its been a hard 2 days but i've finally completed SPM.

What a great game....tedious at times and hair pulling puzzles towards the end.

Stick with it guys the ending is quality

phew.....right where's Mario Galaxy!

its tricky in places more time consuming puzzles than difficult baddies.

a great game but still not as good as mario world on the snes.

but you cant beat perfection!

True, Super Mario World on SNES owns all other games. I play it on my DS whenever I'm on the bus

But yeh, SPM isn't bad so far.. I'm still at the second chapter though, with exams around the corner I don't have time for games much

Very true. It is refreshing to play a platforming game that also has a great bit of length to it. I'm currently in Chapter 6 and having a blast!

Plus once done the game, there's always the Pit of 100 Trials isn't there?

not only is it a short game, but it's another gamecube-hand-me-down with tacked on wii bits - pretty underwhelming from Nintendo. If the Wii's best titles so far are Zelda TP and Paper Mario, both Gamecube ports, then it's a worry

thousand year door is better imho

Easily agreed!

I'm currently playing thousand year door(GC) on my Wii instead of SPM, and I'm loving it so far(I'm at chapter 4 or 5 I believe, 15 hours into gameplay already).
I bought it last year at EBgames because I knew I would love it, but I never started to play it until last week, because I was so much beyond schedule with some other games......but definitely I'm gonna finish it before I even try SPM.
I heard that they removed the time sensitive battle system this time around, but I kind of liked it, maybe I'm gonna miss it ?
So is thousand year door much longer then this ? How many hors should I expect out of it ?
I play a little slow though, it took me like 25 hors to go trough Mario and Luigi partners in time for the DS, but I surely enjoyed it !

I must play the GC version, I too am behind in my games. Only up to Ch2 of SPM at the moment though.
That reminds me, I really need to get Super Mario World from the shopping channel!

My thoughts exactly. I'd even go one step further and say that Zelda and Paper Mario are the only Wii games even worth looking at - everything else is absolute garbage.

I remember a few years ago, Nintendo said that for their next console they'd be focusing primarily on the games. So... Where exactly are all these games that they spent years on?

It's even more worrying that these two games have useless controls too. In Zelda you shake the remote as a replacement for pressing the attack button, and in Mario you shake the remote to do special moves. Come on Nintendo, you're the ones that made this console, if you can't come up with any interesting control schemes then nobody can.

I don't understand why someone would play something as fast as they can just to beat it when there's nothing else to play on this system.

P.S why is this system beating the others with no good games at all, so has nintendo giving up trying to make them?
