Hacking I have a big question...

I successfully downloaded the Homebrew Channel on my Wii but I only have one question.

Will this harm my Wii? I've been keeping a sharp eye and disabling stuff like WiiConnect24 and it kept me from messaging my friends. Because of what happend to my friends modded Xbox360 (I guess microsoft doesnt take lightly to hackers) I've been a little bit paranoid in keeping my wii safe. My friends have been bugging me about that it will ban my IP address and I wont be able to go on the shop channel or online games like SSBB.

So I'm just wondering If there are any risks or if its to late.

ROTFLOL, no nintendo wont do anything ever to you. the are way to lazy imo.

at anyrate your friend might have tried to play a "back up" on his modded xbox.

the only thing you need to be aware of is the nintendo channel, you can keep wiiconcect24 on but just dont do the thing where nintendo looks at what you play. they say it really dosnt matter, but i like to be safe.

Nintendo Channel is the only direct known way Nintendo can "see" anything. Someone correct me or add more..

nothing happen, and HBC is not consider piracy. Its a homebrew developed by 3rd party, that's all.

For Wii, you can even go online with a ^ahem copy of game.
