and I'm downloading some games too use with my wiikey'd wii.

But, I also want a few emulators, GBA, NES, SNES, Genesis, etc.
Which emulators to use?
Do I burn them to DVD?
Do I use SD card?

Please help, I'm new to the wii scene.

Check out WiiBrew.org for emulators and stuff like that. You can burn ROMs for the emulators to DVDs but the applications have to be on a SD card (I think, I may be wrong)

i think your are right about the apps. i'm not sure about the buring to the dvd through just store the games on your sd card (that is if you can)

Install DVDx, for DVD playing purposes, and emulator purposes.

Then figure out the emulators by going to wiibrew

in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select

then it is working, I also don't like that they did this but it is the only option you have if you are using aroma
