I know right? I was using Ubuntu for a really long time, and also I was at school, so I couldn't actually get on Steam even on Windows.
But I'm on Windows 8 now, and I've got Steam working so I'll come on again some time ^^
I was on a few days ago.
TF2 doesn't lag anymore
