Hacking I can't get GC Backups working via USB or SD!?!?!

After installing the DiosMios 2.2 WAD, i formatted my 16Gb USB Stick to FAT32 with 32k Cluster Size and tried to start USB LOADER GX... but it freezed as it accessed the USB device. I also tried GC Booter (this tool reports that DIOSMIOS has been found!), but this tool also freezed at the USB access attemp.

On an other forum, people told me (after they saw my syscheck log) that i should update my IOS's and CIOS's. I did. But it's still not working.I also used the latest version of "Pimp my Wii"... no errors have been found. Am i too stupid? As much a i know, all you need is the DiosMios WAD installed, a FAT32 / 32 Cluster USB Device, and a GC-compatible loader like the 2 i mentioned. What am i doing wrong?

Some info is still missing:
Have you placed any games on the usb device (i.e. wii games in \wbfs folder and GC games in \Games folder in discEx or GCreEx format)?
Some usb devices and HDD are known to cause errors/incompatibility, you might wanna try another usb stick or Hdisk just to confirm this.
there's a compatibility list for USB-HDD somewhere, so search here or google it.

I have placed 3 GC Games in *.iso format in the root of the USB Device. Folders? WBFS Folders? As much as i know... Wii games need an WBFS formatted device, and for GC games you need an FAT32 /32 Cluster device.
I'am also always wonderign why USB Loader GX offers the option to display Wii AND GC games??? Is it possible to place them both on ONE device

Gamecube games have to be in a different format, use DiscEX i think. Also, no one uses WBFS file system anymore, you can put both on a fat32 device.

Ahh... that makes sence. Thats new for me, but not really suprising... I got about 60 Wii Games on a 160 GB HDD (WTFS format)... is there an easy way to change the HDD to FAT32 without backing up all the games to PC first?

yes, its called WBFS2FAT. install it on your PC, plug in your drive, and it switches your drive to FAT32 on the fly, without losing your wii games on it.
google it.
now your drive will have all wii games in a wbfs FOLDER....
Now on the drive, create a FOLDER called games.
Place your GC games in GAMES FOLDER.

The last thing i'am wondering about, is my compatiblity... I placed Donald Duck Going Quackers (NTSC) on the HDD (via PC) and i installed Luigis Mansion (PAL) and Zelda Collection (PAL) via USB Loader GX from retail discs. Only Luigi is working. The other 2 games gave me a black screen. And i had a disc in the drive. I also tried various settings... strange Has it to be a certain disc?

Are you using it with a 60hz ready TV? Unlikely problem, but just to be certain.

I'am using an LED Full HD 16:9 Flatscreen from Toshiba (Build Date: End of 2011)... so i guess it is 60Hz ready. I hope the problem is not IOS/CIOS related... it's like the search for the needle in the haystack.
