Since the gamepad works in those games (at least you can play the original Xenoblade with the game pad), I don'T think it runs in vWii.

It does, it just launches it with a special ticket. There wouldn't be a need to inject a VC once they figure that ticket out, but we aren't sure how the Wii VC titles are stored yet so we don't know if it's feasible to swap the contents-- plus they're huge in some cases, not as easy as a retro VC swap.

Check if the DNS is entered properly. Then, delete every connection, except the one with Tubehax DNS on it. Now, that connection is your default setting. No updates. Hooray!

So what is it exactly we're waiting for? An html file and some .elfs? Is he going to tell people how it exploits the IOS or obfuscate it to hell like gateway does? How does one release an exploit and no actual homebrew to go with it? Is everyone here creaming their pants for a low-level "hello world"? How long do you think before anything actually comes from this?

I was just joking. TubeDNS works, you probably have either entered a wrong DNS or have other connections saved to your WiiU. It's no big deal that you updated to 5.5.1. The exploit works on that version, too. Just make sure that everything is set up correctly from now on.

Jokes aside, it will be obfuscated to hell, but to a degree at which it can still run normally. We aren't squirting over hello world at all (Pong is quite the catch, though), but we do definitely have Homebrew which hopefully will be ported for the latest firmware. Loadiine is just one example, I'm pretty sure Cafiine and TCPGecko don't even need porting (maybe some compatibility updates at best, TCPGecko's really underdeveloped).

I'm positive Hykem won't tell anyone how he did it. Nintendo could patch it soon, anyway, so probably even never than later. Besides, multiple IOSU exploits are present, meaning if they see a release, we won't have to shit our pants in panic if Hykem's exploit gets patched.

Oh, and those .html files? That's actually an .mp4. Do your homework, Yellows8's repo should give you some background on the userland exploit.

Search for "5.5.1 entrypoint" on this forum, you should find a download link. Put the .mp4 files onto your SD card, insert the download link into your Wii U, and click Pong.

IIrc there was a WiiU SDK leaked a long time ago. Did it provide something like devmenu for WiiU? In case it didn't is the wupinstaller we already have capable of installing games? IIrc patching sig checks on the 3DS is technically pretty easy, actually PastaCFW was developed after a pastebin with the patches were leaked. Will sig patching on the Wiiu be as easy as on the 3DS. Concerning emuNAND: How big is the WiiUs NAND? Are there any warez games in an installable format like cia already in the wild?
