Stop talking about piracy.Piracy won't look kill wiiu the name did at launch... has been dead the whole generation look at psp piracy actually sold more units
lol, piracy on the dreamcast wasn't even possible till around 1-2 years after the Dreamcast was already dead, try again... The PS2 and Sega itself killed the DC, not piracy. Majority of people back then couldn't even figure out how to download an MP3, let alone a DC game.oops. Wrong one. Dreamcast.

Stop talking about piracy.
This thread is not for ANY piracy discussion. There's a dedicated thread for that. Please stop talking about piracy in this thread!Talking about piracy in a historical way, should not be judged the same... I do not condone piracy.
I don't think he's mad that you're talking about piracy but more so that we already have an active general discussion thread on piracy on the front page of the wii u homebrew section so it doesn't spill out and derail topics and yet the discussion rages on here.Talking about piracy in a historical way, should not be judged the same... I expect every alert to be about the topic at hand. Instead I keep seeing people talking about whatever the hell they feel like, and people bitching at them for being off topic. After a certain point it's like, Why the fuck am I still watching this thread?I don't think he's mad that you're talking about piracy but more so that we already have an active general discussion thread on piracy on the front page of the wii u homebrew section so it doesn't spill out and derail topics and yet the discussion rages on here.
Check out libwiiu on github, it's a complete toolchain for compiling and building homebrew, although it's pretty exhausting to write useful stuff at the moment because there's much you have to take care of for yourself.I bother if I can install devkitPPC and start coding skeleton app or smth or it will need a new toolchain?
Unlike the Wii, the WiiU does a signature check on all titles before you can load them. The Wii did no such thing. I'm pretty sure installing a title and rebooting will cause a nice brick unless we can run patches at boot stage. This exploit will enable a lot of things this is sure but does a homebrew channel is already backed in secret ? How did you compile actual code to run on the WiiU?

Ok, but where did you get this information from? Last time I heard of Plutoo's exploit it was not to be released period, where has he said otherwise? (only looked on twitter because idk where else Plutoo posts things.)The hacking team have said they will release the exploit on these conditions:
1.- If it's already patched in the next FW, it can be released since that's the main reason it's not being released anyways.
2.- If there's a #2 exploit, then #1 can be released for the homebrew community to enjoy. We know it would be patched in the next FW, but hopefully exploit #2 could be ported.
3.- If there are so many people contributing that it's really hurting the scene to hold it back, that defeats the purpose of having the exploit in the first place. We would need more devs then just the ~5 that we currently have though.
4.- With emuNAND, it doesn't matter what Nintendo does because all they could do is update the emulated NAND. Spoofer is good for now, but it's likely to get patched in the next update.
The condition number 2 is true, Plutoo has a different exploit that Hykem.
And number 1, the Nintendo Network will be on maintenace 12th January, is very possible that Nintendo release the 5.6.0 or 6.0.0 update...

That info has been there even before Hykem mentions the release of his IOSU exploit, it was the conditions the devs (mainly MN1) put to release their private exploits.Ok, but where did you get this information from?
