Hacking How to utilize the Cheat database?

Hello all, now I know this topic has probably already been discussed and answered but could you guys plz tell me how to by-pass the antipiracy coding on Dragon Quest V....thanks (p.s. plz be as specific as possible)

Oh yea, by the way im using the DS Firecard

because i am not familiar with the firecard do this:
step 1. go into micro sd, go to wherever the cheats are, and see what format it is(usually either cheat.dat or usrcheat.dat)

step 2. go to the database and download either one

step 3. overwrite.

thats all. If it uses its own custom way, then i can't help you, sorry

Also do you kno where the patch is or is it patched somewhere?

you can always try DSATM
patch the cheat codes into the rom itself

use the search function find out DSATM by cracker
