Iam going to get straight to it this is a downgrade method
i got this from https://suchmememanyskill.github.io/guides/unbrick/ btw

This guide will take you 30-60 minutes to complete

What you need:
  • Your own prod.keys file (If you don't have them, try to dump them via Lockpick_RCM)
  • Your switch firmware (Try to dump if you don't have them)
  • EmmcHaccGen

Extract the EmmcHaccGen, and place the prod.keys and the fimware dump in the same folder

  1. Open up a cmd prompt in the same folder, and execute the command EmmcHaccGen.exe --keys (location of the prod.keys file) --fw (location of the firmware folder) (example: EmmcHaccGen --keys prod.keys --fw (fimware folder name))
  2. You should now have a folder called NX-(fw version)_exFAT. If you do, you can continue

Step 2: Flashing the files
What you need:

Instructions:

  1. Make a folder on your sd card, then copy boot.bis, SYSTEM and systemrestore.te in that folder
  2. Insert your sd card in your switch and inject Tegraexplorer.bin
  3. Navigate to SD, your folder, systemRestore.te and then Launch Script
  4. Follow the script til completion (Enable restoring Boot, System and Save Sign)
  5. Try to boot your switch with Atmosphere.
    • Note: if you followed the entirety of this guide, AutoRCM will be enabled! You need to boot via RCM
    • If you do not have a basic Atmosphere setup on your SD, Download the atmosphere zip and fusee-primary.bin from here. Extract the contents of the zip to the root of your sd, and inject fusee-primary.bin
    • if your system does not boot download and perform this tegra script System Wipe

I AM NOT LIABLE IF U SET OFF A BOMB OR BREAK YOUR SWITCH

hope this helped

This will fix all Switch ailments?
This will overwrite your supposedly bricked firmware with one you have backed up (or manage to dump ad hoc despite your Switch supposedly being bricked). So yeah, it'll fix most Switch ailments like replacing your entire liver will help with hepatitis. In other words, it's overkill for most "ailments". But if your problem is e.g. with a poorly installed theme leading to system instability or your exFAT SD card corrupting itself, then this procedure will do nothing to fix that, since these problems don't reside in the Switch's firmware.

BTW this thread is the perfect opportunity to remind people to KEEP UP-TO-DATE BACKUPS OF THEIR NAND in case they need it later for something like this. Better safe than sorry.

What an incredibly rude and condescending comment. This thread was just what I needed to revert the 18.0 update

Some modifications:

SystemRestoreV3.te in the Tegrascript README (just google the new script name) is what is now needed instead of systemRestore.te.
You can find older firmwares on archive dot org under nintendo-switch-global-firmwares
Fortunately 18.0 has the same burn count as 17.x so the revert was hassle free.

I recommend the EmmcHaccGen GUI in the releases page since the CLI has additional dotnet 7.0 dependencies that the GUI does not.
