Hello.
After a long time I get the XBox out and "relearned" all necessary to get connection from the PC to the XBox to get Games on the HDD..
This is not a TUTORIAL how to.
Only a little "Tips" what you maybe should consider.
The Xbox (Model 1.4) is alreay TSOP flashed with an iND-Bios.That is an other Story "How to".
A Seagate 200 GB HDD (F: is the BIG Partition for the Games) is in with Unleash V.039.0528A and a custom XBMC Dashboard (please do not ask me where from,I do not remember after 2 years). Also another Story "How to".
I have connected the PC DIRECT with XBOX without a router or a switch.
(NOT THE NINTENDO !!!)
- the PC has a static IP set to 192.168.1.249 / Subnet 255.255.255.0 (Windows 7 do not let me use DHCP for the Cable-LAN maybe because the PC is connected via WiFi to a Router)
- the Xbox IP is static set to 192.168.1.250 / Subnet 255.255.255.0 in the Settings of Unleash Dashboard (In the XBMC Dashboard I am not able to establish a LAN connection....)
When you use QWIX for ISO transfer you only put in:
(Password is also "xbox")
Then use "Load ISO" and locate your ISO on your PC HDD (you have to get one before ) and choose "FTP Upload all".
(you can also choose multiple ISO´s at one time and upload them).
But before you can do this please asure:
- Your On Board Network is ACTIVATED in the BIOS.(Takes me 30 Minutes of my life to get it....... ).
- Be sure the IP´s on the XBox and the PC are STATIC.(Takes me another 12 Minutes.....).
- check that the CORRECT IP is CORRECT typed in QWIX.(Takes me another....a forget it......).
- Do not wait on QWIX for an confirmation message that XBOX and PC are connected.Simply press "Browse" Tab on the Top of the Menu.(Takes me again .......).
I hope this Informations helps the one or other XBox User.
Have fun with your XBox.
..and THANK YOU for reading.
P.S.:you can use FILEZILLA too for browsing/copying/deleting Files on the XBox HDD.
Simply enter the same Parameters (SERVER:192.168.1.250 - USER:xbox - PASSWORD:xbox - PORT:21) in here and click on "Connect":
