Hacking how to install nsp via usb

i was told to use goldleaf and quark. where do i get quark? when i try to search for it i get goldtree and nothing but quark.jar which doesn't seen to have anything executable for me. so what do i do now?

Files with the jar extension are java files.
Just doubleclick them as if they were executables.
If you have java installed, the program will start.
If not, open a command prompt and type 'java -version'.
If you get an error, install java.
If not, go to the folder with Quark and type 'java quark.jar'.
That should start Quark
