I have an original Wii Remote (I believe it's even the one that came with the Wii when i bought it on release day). The other day the motion sensor stopped working (e.g. i cant use it to hit a golf ball in Mario Party or on Mario Kart WiiU i can't steer by tilting left/right).
I only found a hint to smack the remote a few times on the Nintendo page but nothing else - I also haven't found any schematics that indicate the sensor on the motherboard of the controller.
The controller hasn't been used that much in all these years, so I doubt it's really a broken hardware - any hints?
