Put your switch on safemode then choose one of the options (keep the savedata)

you need to enter recovery mode (i guess ... not sure anymore. But it should straight display the firmware version you are on)

Thank you ! That worked for me! For those who are still struggling to check it, turn your console off, hold both + and - volume buttom down and then turn it on. It will take you to the recovery mode and it ll also show you right away what firmware your system is at.
