Hello. I need to get access to my switch's pfx certificate file and I don't really know what to do. I've seen threads that have tools that utilize python, but I didn't understand what I had to do. My switch is on firmware 9.2.0 and atmosphere 0.10.5 if that helps.
Thanks!

You can extract it somehow from your nand backup iirc. But don't ask me how. Which tools do you mean?
I was mostly confused by CertNXtractionPack from about two years ago. I had multiple complex steps that I didn't understand. Here's the thread: bit.ly\34nZRxk

Yes. Nintendo updated the security on their servers. You can't use tools like freeshop anymore

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Read this. And the same authentication stuff applies to the switch

Will that stop me from dumping my cert?

No. But it makes no sense to do that. You can't use it nowhere or for something specific. All useful tools for the switch (which are used on a windows pc) usually only need a keyset file (like 4nxci, or tools like this) which can easily be dumped from the console itself. My opinion...don't judge me ;)

they need to have a strong line up on the launch titles too. I think they should move metroid prime 4 to the next console because by now it has been quite a while and there's no release date scheduled yet

Wasn't Metroid Prime 4 teased all the way back in 2017? For the switch no less?

    for $200? rofl.
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
well as far as metroid prime 4 is concerned, the next system probably is similar enough to the current gen they can probably easily just slap it onto a next gen cart and call it good :P
