Gaming How lucky can you get

I just went down to one of the biggest retail chains in Australia it called Harvy Norman (Hardly Normal) and bought a new Radiant Red PSP 3003 and guess what it was running V5.03 How lucky can you get, I bought it to play until the PSP2 comes out and hacked immediately (I Hope)

What's lucky about that? There are custom firmwares for 6.20 and 6.35 AFAIK.
Also PSP's encryption keys have been decrypted by hackers so anything can be "signed" to run on official firmware.

there are not custom firmwares for 6.20/6.35... there are HENs. they do not flash to 3000/Go psps. and not everything can be signed quite yet. OP is actually pretty lucky to find a 5.03 seeing as a downgrade from 6.20/6.35 is not a sure thing for new psps and 5.03 has very high compatibility with apps/games

edit: i see 6.35CFW was released today... still would take 5.03 over it at this point though.

Yeah, the 5.x hacks are better than the 6.x hacks.

Radiant Red? Nice colour, I thought those would always come with 5.50 or 5.51. Seems I was wrong.

That would be logical; it is easier to go from 5.x to 6.x than it is to go the other way around, after all.
