Hey,
I dumped a disc game and I am currently using fake pkg generator to create the faked pkg of my dump.
How long I have to wait for the fake pkg generation process to complete?

In about 5 hours, I am at 19%...

Thanks

it depends on the size of the game and number of files. I think the longest I've seen was 30-45 minutes. 5 hours doesn't sound right. what game is it?

Depends on the size of the game and your computer spec. Mine usually took ~1 hr for a 25-30 GB game in a Windows 10 VM running in an iMac 5k.

never tried using a flash drive, but that could be the problem. I definitely don't have the fastest computer in the world, and it's never taken anywhere close to that long. I did transfer the content to my hdd though.

Hum it's a 20 GB game but I'm generating the pkg from and to USB disk... I guess I should have copy it to my SSD for a better performance

I did some of them on USB 3.0 exFAT drive as well, just to save the time copying around. It would take a bit longer, but never exceed 2 hrs I think.

Or, I also heard that if you use flash memory, it can act as more "RAM" at least windows tell me when I stick a flash drive into it.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It can act as a swap drive but that isn't more RAM, it's slooow.
