R4 Card V1.4.3 Dsi and 3.0.06 3DS Firmware Upgrade Steps:
1: Copy the corresponding upgrade firmwares to micro sd card.2: Insert the R4 card with firmware into the console which is lower than the V1.4.3 version, then turn it on to enter the R4 upgrade interface:a> The display of "loading" interface shows the R4 card upgrade is in process, please don't cut off the power or take out the card.b> The prompt“V1.4.3 upgrade completed" will be shown on the lower left corner after the R4 card upgrade is done. Now you are allowed to cut off the power and take out the card. It takes about 10 seconds to finish the upgrade.c> Download the latest kernel to the successfully upgraded card, and use the card on the V1.4.3 NDSI to confirm it's a successful upgrade.
thank you soo much!!! ur awsome dude!!! i gave up n bought 2 new ones guess ill try to sell for more somewere!Ok I was having trouble updating my R4i SDHC (from www.r4sdhc.com) to make it work on my 3DS (v3.0.06) but finally figured out how to do it.
1) On the page http://www.r4sdhc.com/r4tsdhc1.asp there are 2 links written in chinese above the "R4i v2.20T/R4 v2.20T Kernel Download". Download the one on the top (filename: down2.40.rar). Also download the latest kernel (filename: English 2.10T15.rar).
2) Backup your games and format the SD card using panasonic SD formatter (I used the one from here: https://www.sdcard.o...ds/formatter_3/).
3) Copy the contents of the file down2.40.rar into the SD card.
4) Put the R4i in your DSi (NOT THE 3DS). It will go to the loading screen and after a while the message "V 3.00 upgrade completed". You can power the DSi off and take the SD card off.
5) Format the SD card again using the SD formatter. Put the contents from English 2.10T15.rar in the SD card, you can also throw in your games.
The R4i SDHC (from www.r4sdhc.com) should now be working on your 3DS.
Though, when I did this the only difference was that I used my DSLite, instead of a DSi, but it should work nevertheless
