Everyone are waiting for a new exploit but how could someone know how long it could take? So no one can really answer your question..so jokes are being made..so what ??

For all we know, a kernel exploit could be out right now. Some private team might be holding onto this secret enjoying roms on their 9.9 New 3DS. Or Gateway may have the solution to our problems. They may just want to wait until the exploit is patched by Nintendo so the largest number of firmwares can be supports.
