Hacking How exactly do console bans work?

When you are banned you can not play online, Take game updates and also see the news on the system you can also not go into the eshop ether and use apps that are on the Nintendo network online.
Wish I could get my switch tablet unbanned because I really don't like the switch lite all to much.

In the case of the Switch, your UniqueID is banned on Nintendo's server (and maybe console side, not sure). The UniqueID is verified at the factory, so you can't just replace it with garbage and get back online. A donor ID does work, but is just ban bait fot Ninty.
As for you what you experience, that depends on the ban. It can range from no online game access to no online access at all.

    There was a time where we were able to bypass the school's network using a VPN that wasn't blocked on the radar. Can't exactly remember the name, but I was able to watch YouTube.
