I've tried it on Debian 7 + LXDE file manager + gvfs-smb -- type "smb://devicename/" in the address bar, you can access it but not copy files to the computer.
Debian stable is obviously outdated on release day, so I suspect more contemporary versions of the above will work...
No progress: `sudo mount.cifs //192.168.1.33/microSD /tmp/3ds --verbose -o username=riki,password=6307,nounix` waits forever, while specifying any Samba version fails immediately...
