Hacking how do you edit game guides to work

ok, i have seen this option for the games through the RTS menu and wanted to know this:

1. for the guide to work, does it need to be named the same as the game?

2. also what is the limits on the guide, to make it readable?

1. Pretend the game is 999.nds
wherever 999.nds is on your SD card, make sure 999.txt is in the same folder. So yes, the name of the .txt (game guide) has to be exactly the same, except the appendage is .txt instead of .nds. Simple right?

2. I think it just has to be a .txt file. I heard it can also be a specific type of picture format, but I don't bother with that. I have tried it on several games and a .txt guide works fine.
