Beatchu is right about sending stuff to phones.

Page 15 of the US manual says you can send to cell phones, however, i'm willing to bet its not SMS, its just email.

Reason I think this you can add email addresses through your wii's message board/contact list but not phone numbers (at least i've never been able to enter phone numbers on any firmware my wii has had).

Yeah thats along the lines I was thinking, thing is email on phones isn't used much in the UK, some providers require you to set it up/enable it first.
