Hacking How do I restore a bricked Wii?

Hi,

I made a pretty comprehensive guide to softMod a Wii . It's basicly completed but Im looking into one last thing - How to save your Wii if you happens to brick It ... Any good tips?

it depends on what is installed...

• priiloader - launch a wad manager and reinstall system wads.
• bootmii - restore from a backup
• hardware flasher - should be self explanatory if you own one

there may be other methods, but using software like WiiMod will check for bricks before exiting. really a user shouldn't brick these days. years ago MAYBE but still with just some proper info its simple to avoid.

Install BootMii to boot2 if possible, if not, install it as IOS, then install priiloader.
Make a backup through BootMii. Done!
If BootMii installed as boot2, you have almost undead console.
