How do I install Ubuntu as a 2nd OS?

So I was thinking about splitting my hard drive's partitions and installing Ubuntu as a 2nd OS to give it a go. I have an Acer Aspire Netbook if that matters and I wanted to give 25gb to Ubuntu....So how do I go ahead and set that bad boy up?

You can just use wubi to install ubuntu. If you don't like it, it can be uninstalled like a normal windows application through add/remove applications in the control panel.

Or, if you want an actual dualboot, you can just use Ubuntu 10.10's Live CD and select "Install next to existing OS" or something and then move the slider on the installer to select how much disk space you want to give to Ubuntu and your other OS.

Dualbooting is better but harder to remove if your unhappy with the results. Wubi is easier but ubuntu is slower and may not work as well.

If you are on a netbook, I recommend not using wubi or virtual box..... It will be very slow on a low performance computer.
