Look at Step number 2 and 5. You can't simply share the code, it seems to have pretty strict redemption methods, and links directly to a uPlay account on redemption.

Remember when they used to give you a disc that contained the game with your new gpu? Good times.

Both amd and nvidia cracked down on selling or giving away promotional game codes and check the hardware to make sure it's eligible for the promotion and ask you to link the account. You don't get a steam/uplay key anymore.

You can give away the key you blacked out, but only users who have qualifying hardware will be able to redeem it.
