Homebrew how do I fix this

im on n3ds. trying to play ds games causes this.

Ctrtransfer to 9.2 and update. That's what I would do. Start fresh. Then make a backup of your NAND before installing anything so you have a clean NAND to restore from.

Did you originally ctrtransfer to 9.2.0 rather than restoring the pre-2.1 NAND backup? If so that's why you're getting that error. ctrtransfer to 9.2 breaks DS mode.

Wouldn't updating to 11.2 after a ctrtransfer to 9.2 correct that?
 
Sadly no, because some data from the original NAND is required for DS mode to work.
Ah, I guess that's why the guide says to restore NAND for N3DSes. I thought it was only because N3DSes brick when updating from 2.1. Thanks for the correction.
