Hacking How do I booktype to DVD-ROM

I've searched on google and found few on how to, but none of them work. Any suggestions?

Check if your drive can have the booktype set. Some drives are not compatible. Then you can check this guide on gbatemp

Some can be made compatible with hacked firmware. rpc1.org is a pretty good source for tracking down hacked firmware.

would be useful to know what brand/model burner you have.

Yeah, hadn't mentioned that. I have an old burner that is a Nec 1100A that I used hacked firmware to make it an 1300A which also enabled it to burn DVD-R which I couldn't before.
