Hacking How can I do this?

More than likely im posting in the wrong spot and im sorry for that. but i bought an old 3ds that is now firmware version 6.1.0-4U and ive blocked it from being able to update any further. unfortunately, the camera app isnt up to speed and its still in 2-something. I need my camera to be able to read QR codes. Can anyone tell me how I can update my camera without updating my firmware?

I don't know about the camera, but if you set up rxtools you could install the correct browser cia for your firmware (I'm thinking will be about 12) or use devMode & sysupdater and install the full 6.x firmware CIAs.

I suspect the problem is that OP wants to trigger an exploit via QR code scan in the first place, because many guides use QR codes to load browserhax, and is not even remotely that far to update something with sysupdater
