Hey everyone. I am new so sorry if I am posting in the wrong place. I have been using Nintendont and Visual Boy Advance GX on my WiiU and it has been great.

I have an issue now though...My vWii will no longer start any channels. It will load to the main screen and recognize a disk in the slot correctly, but when I click start, it just goes to a black screen. I thought about uninstalling homebrew to see if I could fix this that way, but I can't start the homebrew channel to uninstall it...Does anyone know how to go about fixing this? The vWii frezes up also when I try to view the channel or save data. I also do not have a NAND backup...I done goofed on that one. Thanks for the help in advance.

I posted recently with this exact same problem. unfortunately ive not been home long enough to deal with it. i noticed it when i couldn't load my xenoblade chronicles game, i never even used my homebrew channel or installed any other channels, yet one day, out of nowhere, it just screwed up. i couldn't get homebrew channel to load, channel or save data, or game disc to spin. the only difference i see is somehow you got in enough to run a system check. did you load up the checks through homebrew channel just actually loading once?

I did through Homebrew although it needed more than one try. I was persistent. When the vWii would lock up with a black screen, I would unplug (since that was the only way to shut off) and then try again. Eventually, it would run a channel for me. Maybe I am trying more and more often, but it seems like it is slowly starting to run the channels more and more consistently. I could just be hopeful...I did try to uninstall Homebrew using the Smashstack today since it let me go that far, and even though the uninstall succeeded, that didn't fix anything either.

the only thing ive been able to gather is that your ios80 may be corrupted as was told to me, will need a clean ios80 installed with YADBM.

(and our problem seems identical. how this happened is beyond me. the only thing i can guess is some adverse affect going through airport xrays, as that is the only thing out of the ordinary that happened between when it last worked, and when it didn't work again)

Does this work for the vWii on the WiiU as well? The syscheck I ran looks like it told me that I have vIOS58 (rev 6432) instead of ios80.

Ok, two things....
Did you follow every instruction on installing homebrew on vwii? If so then you should have a back up nand.
And is your homebrew installed on the sd? If so have you tried running the vwii without the sd inserted?
It is very possible your sd has become unstable. Or something simple like that.

I messed up and did not do a nand backup...so that is on me. And Homebrew is installed on the vWii itself, which is probably another issue. I was lucky and got it uninstalled a few days ago, but the channel freezing issue was still there.

I went to auction at a mom/pops video game store few months ago that was closing, and bought 11 slims for $200, 1 was DOA but 10 work fine. so hella deal. Already rgh3'ed 8 of them. But most younger kids don't even want anymore, unless it plays stupid "fortnight", or newer shit.
