After the DSi gets hacked and we can use camera in homebrew, an awesome Homebrew app would be a Stop Motion animator.
You take the pics with your camera (through homebrew) and when you finish it puts it all together and makes a DSi compatible video.
That is pure awesome.

this is actually a good idea.
but as stated above, the camera takes pictures too slowly and also, the picture quality isnt so great..
and when that turns into a movie the quality will be even more shittier

but i think its still possible.

Lol do you know what Stop motion is?
You take a picture, change something in the scene, take another picture etc.
It doesn't need taking pictures fastly. Each time you want to take a picture u just click a button. The thing that the homebrew would do is put it together.

ah I get it now yeah that would be a great idea ds camera has horrible quality but still a good idea. I could be wrong but believe spinals movie player uses jpegs so if we can make the program convert it to whatever format is needed for it we can use that as the dsi takes jpegs

First of all, the dsi's camera actually looks ok on the dsi, and also the reason a video recorder wouldn't work with the camera isn't because of the quality, it's because of the hardware, it a camera, not a recorder

They said that about the iPhone too. There's a homebrew recording app for that now.
